Huddersfield Choral welcomes back internationally renowned baritone Roderick Williams OBE for the opening concert of their 2024/25 season with Royal Northern Sinfonia. Performing pieces by Vaughan Williams, Thomas Tallis, Imogen Holst, and Fauré, this will be a celebration of dramatic and moving choral music. This is a rare opportunity to hear Roderick in live performance with a repertoire designed to showcase the unique quality of a singer who has appeared in all the world’s leading opera houses and concert halls without ever losing touch with grassroots music. Deeply committed to music education, Roderick is currently ‘singer in residence’ for Music in the Round in Sheffield, leading projects which introduce amateur singers, young and old, to the classical song repertoire.
