Holmfirth Arts Festival

One of Yorkshire's best small festivals. Holmfirth Arts Festival is taking place this year from June - September 2024. Located in the Holme Valley, in the Pennine Hills of West Yorkshire, Holmfirth Arts Festival invites local people and visitors to get creative and explore the landscape. For 2024, there is a series of events all around our festival theme for this year, FLOW. Events include New Mill Male Voice Choir, soul/blues diva Dana Ali and Ukrainian concert pianist Daria Golovchenko. A new commission for chamber orchestra and choir, Requiem for a Fading World features a talented ensemble of local musicians, and new comedy from former Holmfirth lad Kieran Hodgson finishes the festival. Our Big Weekend of free/Pay as You Decide street theatre happens on 15 and 16 June with outdoor music, installations, our ever-popular parade, as well as loads of music, live theatre, dance, and street performances, not to mention the Giant Heron that will be roaming the streets of Holmfirth. Opportunities to participate in high-quality arts activities can be found across the Holme Valley, in schools, community venues and in the landscape. Holmfirth Arts Festival celebrates creativity in the landscape by: - Commissioning new work and supporting artists - Inspiring diverse communities to engage with the arts and their heritage - Caring for the environment - Connecting locally, regionally and internationally For further information please contact: director@holmfirthartsfestival.co.uk www.holmfirthartsfestival.co.uk
